5 Underrated LoL Wild Rift Runes, Strong but Rarely Seen!

Runes are important in the Wild Rift to increase the strength of your champions, but not all runes are fully utilized. There are some Wild Rift runes that are underrated for some reason. Generally because it cannot be used by all champions.

Roughly speaking, the runes weren’t bad, some were even very strong. But unfortunately too niche and not getting into many champions makes them rarely used. For those of you who are curious about what runes rarely appear and are used, we will explain.

We will also explain, apart from why this rune is underrated, there are several champions who benefit greatly from using this. It can’t be underestimated their capability in using one of these runes. Maybe it will be useful for those of you who want to make your own build.

For those who are curious, we will explain these 5 underrated runes below. Don’t think of them as bad, it’s just that not many people can use them;

  • Font of Life
  • Kleptomancy
  • Champion
  • Pathfinder
  • Backbone

Esports will explain these five runes further below. Hopefully this can be useful for you in making builds later.

Here we will explain 5 Wild Rift runes that are underrated but still very strong for you to use. Don’t assume that these runes are very bad even though they have a high enough impact in the game, especially for some other champions.

Font of Life

Font of Life

LoL Wild Rift Font of Life

Keystone

Slowing or immobilizing an enemy champion marks them for 4 seconds.

Allied champions who basic attack marked enemies heal for 3% of your maximum health over 2 seconds.

If you pay attention, this rune rarely appears in champion builds. Even though the effect is not too bad, it can give heal to team members as long as you give CC opponents. But if you pay attention to this rune, it is a bit lacking.

The first is that Aftershock is better thanks to high damage, so if you want to be more sustainable or help then take Font of Life. But Font of Life has a 3% multiplier which is split for 2 seconds, the meta burst is now of little help. Maybe it would be suitable if another new champion could take advantage of it.

Kleptomancy

KleptomancyLoL Wild Rift Kleptomancy

Keystone

After using an ability, your next ability hit or basic attack against an enemy champion will grant you a random item effect.

Cooldown: 25s

Random Effects: Blade of the Ruined King (Drain), Gargoyle Enchant (Stoneplate), Iceborn Gauntlet (Spellblade), Locket Enchant (Locket), Luden’s Echo (Discordicc Echo), Redeeming Enchant (Redeem), Glorious Enchant (Glory), Shadows Enchant (Shadows), Statikk Shiv (Shiv Lighting)

This rune is often said to be a gacha rune. This is because the effects you get are quite random. Unfortunately, this rune is nerfed in Wild Rift, whereas in LoL it is quite broken and many people use it.

First is the effect, in LoL you can get item effects such as heal and mana regen while Wild Rift does not. Second is a champion, not many champions can take advantage of the effect thanks to too many randomness here. But some champions like Ezreal are quite strong.

Champion

ChampionLoL Wild Rift Champion

Minor 1 Domination

Gain 10% damage against champions. Lose 5% each time you die until the bonus disappears.

Champion is an all out rune that can be called high risk, high reward. This rune offers high damage, up to 10% bonus damage to other champions! But remember that two times a game dies, the effect drops to 0%, leaving you a champion without a single rune slot.

For some champions and rune players this is very strong, especially smurfers. Champions like Zed, Fizz, and even Graves can use this if you don’t die. The 10% damage throughout the game that you can keep can make your game easier.

Pathfinder

PathfinderLoL Wild Rift Pathfinder

Minor 3 Inspiration

When out-of-combat, gain 8% bonus movement speed in brush, jungle and river.

The Pathfinder was arguably a not so bad rune, it was just that it wasn’t as strong at the moment. Even though it is with the MVSPD bonus effect when roaming on the Bursh, Jungler, and river, unfortunately at this time it is difficult to take advantage of it. We will explain some of the reasons.

The first is as an inspiration rune, Pathfinder has many rivals such as Hunter Genius, Masermind, Manaflow Band, and the very strong Sweet Tooth. Not only that, champions who can take advantage of it such as Shen, Tahm Kench, and others are not yet in Wild Rift.

Backbone

Backbone

LoL Wild Rift Backbone

Minor 2 Resolve

Gain 10 AR or 10 MR, based on whichever stat you have less of.

With 10 AR or 10 MR stat it looks tempting, especially it can be very useful in the early game. But the stats will increase depending on the lowest one. Actually this rune is strong, but just like Pathfinder where in the Resolve class, Backbone is outdone by the others.

But if you want to increase your stats more evenly there is nothing wrong with using this. This rune is strong for many champions and roles and can be used if you don’t have any other strong options.

Those are the 5 underrated Wild Rift runes. It’s actually quite good and has a few uses that other runes sadly cover. There are niches, but some are always underestimated.
